Editorial standards
Spoold guides are written and maintained by the Spoold editorial team. We focus on practical developer tasks, tested examples, clear limitations, and links back to the tool that solves the workflow.
We review articles when tools change, examples become stale, or readers report errors. Every blog article shows the publishing date, read time, byline, and related tools so readers can understand where the guidance comes from and how to verify it.
Read the Editorial PolicySupporting Spoold
Spoold is free, privacy-first, and ad-free. To keep hosting and development sustainable without adding intrusive monetization, users can optionally support the project.
Support helps cover maintenance, new developer tools, and infrastructure. Contributions are voluntary; every tool remains usable without an account or paywall. Visit the Support Spoold page to learn more.
Topics we cover
Developers find Spoold when searching for online JSON formatter, JWT decode, curl to JavaScript, OpenAPI viewer, Base64 decode, regex tester, epoch timestamp converter, PEM certificate viewer, CSV to JSON, TOML formatter, token counter for LLMs, and similar long-tail queries. The catalog is designed so API, DevOps, frontend, and data workflows share one fast entry point.
Prefer reading? The blog publishes guides that link straight into the tools (JSON Schema, curl conversion, CSV workflows, and more).
Common questions
- How many tools does Spoold include?
- The public catalog lists 72+ utilities across formatting, diffing, encoding, HTTP, security, time, text, and LLM-focused workflows. New tools ship regularly—bookmark the tools directory.
- Do I need an account?
- No. You can paste, convert, and copy results immediately. Save and share features use local storage or encrypted links without forcing sign-up.
- Where does processing run?
- For supported tools, work runs in your browser so sensitive configs and tokens are not sent to Spoold servers for those operations. Exceptions (such as URL shortening) are called out in each tool where they apply.
- Is Spoold ad-free?
- Yes. Spoold uses optional support and in-layout promotions for its own tools instead of third-party ad placements. See the Support page to help keep it that way.
Privacy & security
Your privacy comes first. All processing happens in your browser. We never send your data to our servers, and we don't use analytics that track your content.
When you share via links, data is encrypted client-side before storage. Only people with the link can access it. We don't require sign-ups, so we don't collect emails or personal information. History and saved items are stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB).
