Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Spoold ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Spoold provides free online developer tools including but not limited to:

• JSON formatter, validator, and diff comparison
• HTML preview and renderer
• JWT token decoder
• URL parser and inspector
• CSV viewer and converter
• Regex tester
• Markdown preview
• QR code generator and scanner
• Time/date converter
• curl command converter

These tools are provided as-is for convenience and productivity purposes.

3. Use License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal and commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

This license does not include:

• Modifying or copying the Service's source code
• Using the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempting to decompile or reverse engineer any software
• Removing any copyright or proprietary notations
• Transferring the materials to another person or "mirroring" the Service

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Process or share illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Scrape, crawl, or collect data from the Service in bulk
• Use automated systems that send more requests than a human could reasonably produce

5. User Content

Content you process through our tools remains yours. We do not claim ownership of any content you input into the Service.

Important: Most processing happens entirely in your browser. We do not have access to content you paste unless you explicitly use the sharing feature.

When using the sharing feature, you represent that you have the right to share the content and that it does not violate these Terms.

6. Data Processing & Security

While we implement security measures, you acknowledge that:

• Processing sensitive data (passwords, API keys, PII) is at your own risk
• You should not paste production credentials or secrets
• The HTML preview sandbox may not prevent all malicious code execution
• Shared links, even when encrypted, should not contain highly sensitive information

We recommend using test/sample data whenever possible.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
• FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
• NON-INFRINGEMENT
• ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF RESULTS

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that defects will be corrected. The tools are provided for convenience and should not be relied upon for critical applications without verification.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SPOOLD AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of data or content
• Loss of profits or revenue
• Business interruption
• Damages arising from use of or inability to use the Service

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service (which is zero for free users).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Spoold and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Content you process or share through the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party

10. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding user content), features, and functionality are owned by Spoold and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without prior written consent.

11. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Spoold. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator resides, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide notice prior to any new terms taking effect.

By continuing to access or use the Service after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
